KE,KA,KO,DE,KE,KE • Ecclesial Maturity Bp.Sebastian Singerayan Selam • A mature Christian is one who fulfills the mandate of Jesus Mt 28/16 • 1) He will commit himself for the growth of the body of Christ – Kingdom of Heaven. • 2) He will Evangelize with a zeal and a good life-witness, using the Charism given by the Holly Spirit

  2. Growth of the Church has 2 Dimensions • a) Qualitative Love of God Lived, Experienced and Shared in Koinonia • b) Quantitative Help to multiply the members of the church by Kerygma Evangelization. Ultimate aim of Kerygma should lead to Baptism ie to build the body of Christ. • A mature Christian is a leaven with Church.

  3. KE • Kerygma Ist Announcement of Good News. • Primary (New ) Give Life Jn 10/10 • Evangelization • Secondary (Re)- Have it in Abundance • Born by word and drought to Church by Baptism.

  4. KA • (Charism):- One who is converted, is filled Holy Spirit. Accept Christ as Savoir • Enables to receive other Sacraments. Using Charism to grow into maturity and Spiritual Qualitative growth of the Person and Community. • Charisms are the actions and gratuitous gift of the Holy Spirit. They areinstruments for effective witnessing and not an end in themselves.

  5. KO • (Koinonia). The Church is Loving, Active and growing. Which is united to the head Jesus Christ and the Members. • Individualism and indifference are Obstacles to growth • In the Church of Antioch – How they love one another ! • Gifts are given according to the need of community.

  6. DE • DiaKonia • Service in the Community. • 7 Deacons • Institutions- Kingly Service.

  7. KE • KENOSIS • Commitment self employing total self giving for the life in abundance Jn 10/10. • Phil 2/6 Members commit themselves for the cause of the church (Kg)

  8. KE Kerygma • A mature church goes out to proclaim to Evangelize to add New Disciples to Jesus Christ uniting new members to the Body of the Christ. In Kerygma – Evangelization unlimited scope is there.
