Emily, a Year 8 Australian student reflects on her time with the students from Thailand. “I loved spending time with the Thai girls that visited St Paul’s School during May because they were very friendly. I first met them during my music lesson and then I realised they were in most of my classes. My friend Rachel and I seemed to have a lot in common with them. We did a lot of laughing together as they were trying to understand some of the things we were saying. They loved listening to Rachel and I playing the flute. We played lots of One Direction on our phones and did lots of dancing, it was very funny. On the Friday before they left, Jel, Fah, Prim, Om, Mind and Maii taught us one of their dances and they played music from Thailand which I had never heard before. They also made us beautiful cards with lots of detail to remind us of them. I hope to see them again one day and we will all stay in touch through Instagram.”
