  39. 8. Narrowcasting v. Broadcasting. . . (focus on specific news or issues 24 hours a day) may fulfill political junkies or spin issues out of control. Or one can turn to the BLOGGERS . . . 9. Politicians can manipulate the press by sending up: • trial balloons to see how the public will react to certain issues. Then back off if the response is negative. • both the political elites and the medias dance to get the upperhand. . .and both seek the advantage in dispensing their agenda. . . • The Press’ wishes to inform the masses. . . vs. the politicians’ attempt to put it in a good light. . . 10.
