1. بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم A concise and comprehensive All-in-One Du’aa

2. How many du’aas you know? Answer to this question is not very important!

3. Do you know this all comprehesive du’aa by heart? Answer to this question is very important!

4. Memorise this Du’aa mentioned in Hadith No. 1494, At-Tirmidhi وعن أَبي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ : دعا رسُولُ الله بدُعاءٍ كَثيرٍ ، لَمْ نَحْفَظْ مِنْهُ شَيْئاً ؛ قُلْنَا : يَا رسول الله ، دَعَوْتَ بِدُعاءٍ كَثِيرٍ لَمْ نَحْفَظْ مِنْهُ شَيْئاً فَقَالَ : ألا أدُلُّكُمْ عَلَى مَا يَجْمَعُ ذَلِكَ كُلَّهُ ؟ تقول : اللَّهُمَّ إنِّي أسَألُكَ مِنْ خَيْر مَا سَأَلَكَ مِنْهُ نَبِيُّكَ محمَّدٌ ؛ وأعوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا استَعَاذَمِنْهُ نَبِيُّكَ مُحَمَّدٌ ، وأنتَ المُسْتَعانُ ، وَعَليْكَ البَلاَغُ ، وَلا حَولَ وَلا قُوَّةَ إِلا باللهِ رواه الترمذي ، وقال :  حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ

5. Meaning: Abu Umamah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (Peace Be Upon Him) made many supplications which we did not memorize. We said to him: “O Messenger of Allah! You have made many supplications of which we do not remember anything.” He said, “Shall I tell you a comprehensive prayer? Say: O Allah, I ask from You all those good things which Your Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) has asked from You; and I seek refuge in You from all those evil things from which Your Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) has sought refuge from You. You are the One from Whom help is sought and Yours is the responsibility to communicate (the truth). There is no power or strength except with Allah the Exalted, the Great.”

6. Subhanallah! • For those who do not remember many du’aas, or cannot remember them, this is the best supplication to make. • This shows part of Allah’s Mercy upon his slaves and part of the easiness of practising Islam.
