“DIXERITIS”(GODSPEED) Q ORTIZ
Mea Lux (my light) • My name is Q Ortiz. I am currently a junior in high school. Since young, art has always fascinated me. Most of the art that I have done is merely a few sketches and drawings. Enrolling in computer graphics was a way for me to expand into a different type of art and I can say that I enjoyed the class very much.
Illustrator • Illustrator is one of the many programs that Adobe has to offer. It is aimed mostly at those who wish to create their own original works of art. This was also the first program that I worked with in computer graphics
Photoshop • Extremely popular and well known; photoshopis the photo manipulation software. It allows the user to play with different images, putting them together to create their own images. This also happens to be the second program I worked with in Computer graphics
Under the Sea • Everyone wishes to see the world hidden under our seas. Illustrator was used to create this
Illumination • I used a slightly simpler version of the baroque and gothic styles in this work.
Kaleidoscope • I aimed for bright colors to explode in creating this work. Also because I know that kaleidoscopes often used vibrant colors, but wanted a nice contrast between light and dark colors
Dream House • Everyone has a house that they dream of, this is mine…or a simpler version.
Mechanimal • Elephants are majestic creatures. It’s just too bad this one is a robot.
Still Life • A scene from a movie? Maybe
Monsieur Potato • Watch out! You might eat it…him!
Reflections • There’s a deeper meaning behind this, honestly! I’m not just making this up on the spot. It really does have a deeper meaning, but you have to get back to me on this one
Metaphorto • Am I beautiful or gorgeous? Gosh! Make up your mind
Impressionism • I painted and scanned this, but the scanner messed it up
Cubism • No curves on this one sadly.
Expressionism • This is…self explanatory
Fantasy • Myths are born from our imaginations…
BTB: By the Bay • No, it’s not a typo. Oh! Say cheese!
Caricature • Aren’t you just beautiful?
Merci • Thank you for taking the time to look at my works. Many efforts were put in these as well as feelings. I am thankful for my family in supporting me and of course for my teacher who taught and helped me through this class.
