Conscious Incompetence • You know that you don’t know much • There are skills you need to learn • Maybe shocked to realise that there are others who are more competent than you • As you realise your ability is limited your confidence drops • Uncomfortable period as you learn new skills when others are more competent

  6. Conscious Competence • You know what you know • You acquire new skills and knowledge • You apply your skills and knowledge and gain confidence • You work on improving these skills and knowledge.

  7. Unconscious Competence • You don’t know that you know • Your new skills become habits • You perform tasks without conscious effort • Peak of confidence and ability
