7. How the programme works
Patient will complete own form and provide urine sample
Completed sample and form to be sent to Virology
Virology to send result to Chlamydia Screening Office electronically (copy sent to testing site)
Chlamydia Screening Office will notify all patients – positive, negative or equivocal
8. How the programme works: Usually texted
Negatives – “All OK. CS”
Positives/Inhibitories/Insufficient Specimen – “Please call on 0116 295 7822. CS”
Three attempts to contact a positive
If no response then letter to GP
Positives signposted for treatment
9. Treatment of positives Screening/testing sites will be notified of positives
When positive attends for treatment complete form
Forms (or copies of forms) to be returned to Chlamydia Screening Office in stamped addressed envelopes
