Hatha Yoga: The Beginning • “Ha” means sun and “Tha” means Moon. • Started during the 9th or 10th century. • Originally used to reach “Enlightenment.” • Goraksha was one of the earliest Yoga leaders.(Some consider him the “father of Yoga” • Goraksha wrote the first Yoga documents and was considered a saint and respected teacher.
