Alien Invaders Can you identify these invasive species? Challenge #2 T. Trimpe 2008 http://sciencespot.net/
How many of these invaders can you identify? 5 1 3 I am brown and found in trees. I feed on native birds and lizards. I may have stripes like a zebra, but I live in water and compete with native mussels for food. I don’t taste like garlic or mustard, but like to crowd out native species and take over! 4 6 2 I am found in the Southeastern US and can attack and cause painful burning stings on humans, animals, & livestock. I may look like a snake, but I’m a fish that preys on native species. I’m also found in more places than just the northern states. I like to go wild and “pig out” on native plants and crops causing much damage. http://www.invasivespeciesinfo.gov/
