Summary • Atticus is a successful lawyer. • Unlike the rest of the Finches. • “Finches landing” • Summer, Charles Baker Harris (Dill) comes to visit aunt. • Jem, Scout, and Dill become friends. • End of summer amazed by a spooky house, called the Radley Place (Dill). Meridian. • School starts Scout hates it. • Teacher picks on her, school passes quick. Last week of school Scout finds gum/2 pennies. • Beginning of summer, Dill comes back. • Scout gets ditched, makes friends with Miss Maudie. • Jem and Dill continue to mess with Boo radley. Ice cream invitation.

Boo is a hero • Boo carries Jem home. • Jem is wounded • Atticus is furious • Scout finally got to sit with Boo.
