REGIONAL COACHING CONFERENCES 2007 MAKE IT HAPPEN Supporting Coach Development across the Region THE LONDON REGIONAL COACHING CONFERENCE 2007 The RFU recognises the importance of improving coaching standards across the game in order to enhance the quality of the game and more importantly the experience of players so that we retain them within the game. The Regional Conferences aim to support all coaches and particularly those at Level 2 who have a role to play in the future of the game. The conferences will give coaches the opportunity to see some of the countries leading coaches in action. There will also be opportunities to discuss and share ideas with coaches from a whole range of backgrounds. All in all, a great experience with plenty of new ideas and best practice to share with fellow coaches. • Delivery Topics • Moulding a talented backline from gifted individuals • Innovative backs coaching • Scrummage master class with Jason Leonard • Defending the ruck – roles and responsibilities • Line out strategy / defence – what and why • Tactical approach to restarts • Continuity • Team Play • Q & A session with Jason Leonard following Dinner SATURDAY 23rd & SUNDAY 24th June 2007 The Lensbury Club - Teddington Presenters – Jason Leonard, Brian Smith, John Shropfer, Mike Schmid and Gary Henderson WWW.RFU.COM/coach WWW.RFU.COM/coach
