Misleading Vividness. A very small number of dramatic events are taken to outweigh a significant amount of statistical evidence. Ex. In Detroit, there’s a 10 year old living on the street selling drug to stay alive. In LA, a 19 year old prostitute work the streets. America’s youth is in trouble.

  1. Misleading Vividness • A very small number of dramatic events are taken to outweigh a significant amount of statistical evidence • Ex. In Detroit, there’s a 10 year old living on the street selling drug to stay alive. In LA, a 19 year old prostitute work the streets. America’s youth is in trouble. • Explanation: While the story of the 10 yr. old illegal pharmacist and the 19 yr old prostitute is disturbing, it is just 2 situations out of million of situations.
