Foldable of Stages of Development Take plain or colored paper and fold in half “hamburger” style. Fold this in half “hamburger” style. And, again. (You should have 8 sections.) Fold this in half “hot dog” style and in half again. You should have a sheet of paper with 32 squares. Using just the edge of paper, label the top of page with the 4 theories of development chosen, Freud, Piaget, Erikson and Kohlberg. The side of the page should reflect ages as you have determined (0-1, 2-3, 4-6, 6-puberty, adolescence, early adulthood, middle adulthood, late adulthood). Develop a chart for comparison to indicate the stage as per the various theories and an example of typical behavior to demonstrate understanding. Inform students that stages will cross over multiple age ranges. This is to develop a comparison of developmental progress and individual is facing at various ages.
