Plantar Fascia is the tissue that cushions your heel bone and connects your heels all the way to your toes. Plantar fasciitis is the self-restricting condition that, as the name itself suggests, is the common reason for the heel pain in adults. So common that it affects more than around 1 million people and only two-third of people go forward with the treatment and seek help from the physicians or podiatrists in that matter. Most common with the desk-bound or athletic population, diabetes, obesity, foot pronation along with the excessive running and extended-standing can be the causes and risk factors for the Plantar Fasciitis. One can understand the cause of pain in their feet being Plantar fasciitis by the following symptoms:- 1. Sharp stinging pain in your feet right after you hit the floor after waking up in the morning. 2. The stabbing feeling after you stand up after prolonged sitting. Or sharp pain just behind the arch in the heel. This can be because of wearing footwear with uncomfortable or uneven soul support as well. Diagnosis:- The diagnosis is basically made after the physical examination and checking the medical history of the patient.
