Regulator news NMC • Nurses and midwives under investigation who admit all the charges against them will be able to provisionally agree a sanction with us (NMC), through a process called consensual panel determination. • Voluntary removal, allows a nurse or midwife who is subject to a current or potential fitness to practise allegation and who admits that their fitness to practise is impaired, and does not intend to continue practising, to apply to be permanently removed from the register without a full public hearing.
