Once the Programs are in Place What else we need to do • Implementation • Identify the Job Hazards and post the code of safety procedure • Train the employee on Job Related Hazards.. • Document the training on annual basis and refresher thereafter • Never assign a new employee to a job without: 1) Safety Orientation, 2) Job Specific Hazards 3) Provide the PPE for that job

Osha & You ..how to survive • Take a risk and invite OSHA for inspection..when you have done all your home work • Inspection is un announced …be prepared all times..you can not stop the inspection • Osha may give you 24 hours notice • Don’t volunteer information..employee participation
Osha Reporting Rules • Basic requirement. Within eight (8) hours after the death of any employee from a work-related incident or the in-patient hospitalization of three or more employees as a result of a work-related incident, you must orally report the fatality/multiple hospitalization by telephone or in person to the Area Office of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), U.S. Department of Labor, that is nearest to the site of the incident. You may also use the OSHA toll-free central telephone number, 1-800-321-OSHA (1-800-321-6742). Note: Emergency Responders must report the accident
