13. RESET OBJECTIVES The term RESET is being used to talk about how we plan to inspect, repair, replace, and reconstitute weapon systems and stocks for those units that fought and are still fighting the OIF conflict. A key element of RESET is the application of enhancements during the repair and replace activities to address critical safety, readiness, and warfighting deficiencies.

14. Reset mission includes maintenance actions from the 10 level through Depot level; however, from the 10 thru 40 level this is known as Reconstitution
When units rotate out of OIF/OEF they become part of the RESET process.
Our Requirement is to RESET returned units w/in 180 days or less of redeployment.
INCLUDES THE COST TO CLEAN, INSPECT, MAINTAIN, REPLACE AND RESTORE EQUIPMENT TO THE REQUIRED CONDITION AT THE CONCLUSION OF THE CONTINGENCY OPERATION OR UNIT DEPLOYMENT. COVERS EQUIPMENT ORGANIC TO THE PARTICIPATING UNIT AND WAR RESERVE STOCKS PRIOR TO REPLACEMENT INTO STORAGE. EXCLUDES THE COST TO TRANSPORT EQUIPMENT BEING REPAIRED/RESTORED.

In Theater CECOM SWA RESET Team support of OIF/OEF.
In FY05 CECOM RESET Sustainment Base programs include:
FIREFINDER
AN/ALQ-144
AN/TSC-85/93
RADIAC Meters
Generators
ECU’s
RESET is also supporting a variety of B16 weapon systems with on-site DEPOT and contractor teams
All involved in Soldier and Ground Systems Life Cycle management in the CECOM community are fully engaged!
(PEOs/PMS Depots, Arsenals OEMs Suppliers, Item managers)
The purpose of this chart is to show that the entire C4ISR community is working as “one” team in the RESET mission
Of extreme importance is the fact that we have a CECOM (CE-LCMC) RESET in SWA to facilitate the RESET process and transfer much of the RESET burden to our shoulders and pay the cost to RESET – FOR DEPOT Level systems
We are fully engaged in in supporting YOU.

Automatic RESET Systems such as FIREFINDER, TROPO, ALQ-144, ALQ-156 and other Systems.
Provide listing of auto RESET items.
For non-Automatic RESET systems;
LAR would conduct an evaluation to determine if a system is in bad enough shape that warrants depot level RESET.
Systems would be loaded on a ship for transport to CONUS port and forwarding to RESET Depot.
