  5. Summary on homosexual’s and data • Most of the studies had more positive than negative antibody status except for one study done for homosexuals. • Only the negative subjects seemed to have the homogenous mutant CKR5 • The positive subjects showed no presence of the mutant CKR5.

Summary on Hemophiliac’s data • Hemophiliac positive patients show no presence of the homo-mutant CKR5, but all others were present. • Hemophiliac negative patients showed presence of homo-mutant CKR5 in one study, and no presence in another study (different cohort study). • Hemophiliac negative patients had other CKR5 genotypes present.

  7. What Can Be Concluded? • The patients with the most diverse genotypes were the HIV-I negative patients • The HIV-I positive patients showed only the homozygous wild-type and heterozygous genotypes. • HIV-I negative patients may have a longer nonprogressive rate due to their diversity in genotype.
