  2. Overall picture • Lots of consultations planned over next 2 years • Want to minimise consultation fatigue • General approach: not to cut back on consultations, but try to a) explain context and b) package together linked topics • See the table, which shows current plans – but they may change!

  3. Mechanisms for diffuse non-agricultural pollution and hydromorphology • Assessment of current picture and some initial ideas on mechanism gaps • Simultaneous publication of two consultation papers with covering “roof document” to set context • Drafts currently with Whitehall Committee for approval. Hope to publish electronically at very end February. • 3 months consultation period. Separate responses please • Grateful for additions / amendments to consultee lists today
