What I expect of you • This classroom is a community of learners, committed to study hard and headed toward bright future. We show respect for others and their feelings so everyone can think positively. For learning to happen, we work hard to complete tasks by reading, writing, speaking, listening and thinking. Each and every one of us is oriented toward achievement. No one will stop others from learning; we WILL all cooperate and help each other.
Our Rules! • 1. Be Respectful • 2. No Cursing or Foul Language. • 3. Do Not Leave Class Without Permission • 4. No Cellphones Unless Instructed • 5. Show Up ON TIME and Ready to Work. • 6. Bring School Supplies WITH YOU Every Day.
Late Work policy • All assignments are to completed and turned in on time. Incomplete work will be graded as if it was finished and all unanswered questions will be wrong. Late work will receive a late grade; -20% the first day (even after school), -30% the second day, and 50% off any day after that; regardless of the reason for it being late but will not be accepted if more than 3 weeks late. Makeup after an excused absence is to be turned in three days after return to class. It is the student’s responsibility to check on what is missed during an absence after schoolnot during class. • ALL work is to be completed by the end of the six weeks deadline (TBA).
Don’t cheat…its tooooo easy • Students found to have engaged in academic dishonesty shall be subject to grade penalties on assignments or tests and disciplinary penalties in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct. Academic dishonesty includes cheating or copying the work of another student, plagiarism, and unauthorized communication between students during an examination.
