  2. Points, lines and planes 1)point-is an exact location.think of a star in the sky 2)line-straight path that extends without end in opposite directions. 3)plane-flat surface that extends without end in every direction.

  3. 4)line segment-has 2 end points. 5)ray-has one end point. Line segments, and ray

  4. 6) vertex-angle that is formed by 2 rays with a common endpoint. Vertex

  5. 7)parallel- lines in a plane that are the same distance. Angle Relationships

  6. 8)Intersecting lines-cross at exactly one point. 9)perpendicular lines-intersect to form a 90 degree Angle. Again

  7. 10)transverse-line that crosses 2 or more lines again

  8. Corresponding Angles • Are angles that appear in the same positions in relation to a transverse and two lines.
