Seekingfornewbalance In reality there is no constant balance, we just continuously strive to achieve it • Different blueprints 10-20-30-40 years ago • 40 years ago we became parents while young and fresh out of the university, worked hard to escape our parents homes and to establish our own, but our career path afterwards was straight • 20 years ago people started to form families at later and later ages and the supporting childcare institutions started to decline • Nowadays the average age of parents is much older and parenthood is often considered as a breaking point in the career • Different career paths • 40 years ago the retirement age was much lower, the professional career often ended at the age of 55- 60 • 20 years ago the labor market practically closed for senior people • Today the picture is different and the lack and need of experienced workforce opens new opportunities in all age groups. Presentfinancialregulationsareformany a stumblingblock.
Changingdefinition of career and family Advancement in the course of the professional path, quick rise in the personal position. • Objective career goals can be described with characteristics obvious for others (increase of income, higher position, managerial roles) • Subjective career goal means own assessment of the professional path and the interpretation of its content. New definitions and new type of relationships • The families are determined by their actual life-period, by the major tasks the families are taking care of • The families are continuously renewing themselves as major changes and events form and shape the links and emotional ties among the family members career Family Raising 8 children and help them to university degree is a career?

Age? What is it? For a period of time we are too young and then suddenly we become too old. It is not certain at all that society draws the line of aging where our body and soul does. One should fight prejudice not age. (2016, Einspach-Tisza Kata ELTE)
