  2. Timothy 4:7-8 Don’t waste time arguing over godless ideas and old wives tale. Spend your and energy in training yourself for spiritual fitness. Physical fitness has some value, but spiritual exercise is much more important, for it promises a reward in both this life and the next. New life bible

  3. Set the right goal • Be realistic • Look at the big picture

  4. Have a plan • Know what you want to do and when • Incorporate different elements into your training

  5. Nutrition • God’s physical provision • Exodus 16 • God’s spiritual provision • John 6:48-51 • Matthew 4:4

  6. Supplements • Extra minerals and vitamins

  7. Aerobic training • The importance of prayer • Philippians 4:6

  8. Altitude training(!) • Train at altitude • Moses and Jesus • Work at low level Gezahegne Abera

  9. Train with others • Saturday morning prayer meeting • House groups • Church

  10. Don’t over train • Avoid burn out • Allow God to speak to us and take time to listen

  11. Reward yourself • It feels good to feel good • Celebrate what God has done for you

  12. And finally… Getting into shape doesn’t come by accident – physically or spiritually. Though will never fully become like Jesus this side of heaven, tremendous progress can be made if we train
