Over and over again, research and common sense prove that a parent has more influence over his or her child than anything else in the world. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. Don’t believe you have no influence over…. …because you do.

Over and over again, research and common sense prove that a parent has more influence over his or her child than anything else in the world.
…because you do. • Children see the present. They are drawn in by the wonder and the pleasure of being alive. • Problem: children are very close to the future. They need to prepare. • Parents see the future. You know the end of the story. • Parents guide their children’s future.
This is what school looks like to you…This is what you hope school looks like to your child.
…child’s backpack? • Homework? • Notes from today? • Notebooks? • Pens? • Pencils? • Paper? • If not, why are you not expecting to see those items? Check homework and notebooks.
When your child knows that you know what’s going on in school, he or she will be much less likely to get off the path to success. Too often, children are too off the path before parents find out about it, and the damage is done.
