Company & department goals • IT Department Purpose: • Planning and implementing of MCMC’s systems in order to improve overall business development • Challenges • Managing the hospital information systems; budget/finance, short term and long term planning, legal/regulatory compliance, and project planning. • Collaborating with other departments and administration • Improving facility workflow

  5. Tasks & responsibilities • RESPONSIBILITIES: • Change patient record backup tapes • Cardboard • Research & analyze new technology to help make recommendations • GENERAL TASKS: • Laptop and desktop reformats • Virus removal • PC cleanup

Tasks & responsibilities • SPECIFIC TASKS • Week 1: • Orientation, meet people, install Windows 7 on laptops • First “help desk” run • Install OS on server • Cat-5 cable ends • Week 2: • Become familiar with remote desktop • Create “rescue pack” of CDs/DVDs • Learn to navigate/clean up/work with Spiceworks • Learn to navigate Kaspersky Anti-Virus server • Friday.

  7. Tasks & responsibilities • Week 3: • Set up conference call hardware • Learn to configure switch • Intro to Joomla • Install [correct] printer in Professional building • Week 4 and after: • GFI • Repeat of previous tasks

  10. Goals for remaining time • Things to learn: • Greater detail into server administration and maintenance • Setting up new server hardware and software • Group policy
