  3. Motive The DDT that Hachtman uses during landscaping was supposedly killing Hawks. Alibi She was with Rachel Carson Rosalie Edge Rosalie Edge was the creator of Hawk Mountain. She did not like the careless conservation tactics that the National Audubon Society was using to protect some species of birds. She sued the Audubon Society for their member list and distributed Emergency Conservation Committee articles revealing these careless acts. She then moved on to stop the killing of birds of pray. She formed the Hawk Mountain Society because Hawk Mountain was the sight of many hawk deaths caused by hunters. Mrs. Edge and her son revealed the horrifying pictures of the dead and dyeing hawks to the world. The following year Edge leased Hawk Mountain turning it into a sanctuary. Then the subsequent year, 1935, Rosalie Edge purchased the 1500 acres of Hawk Mountain for 3500 dollars.

Sir Alexander Fleming • August 6, 1881- March 11, 1955 • Discovered penicillin • Wrote reports in the British Journal of Experimental Pathology • Knighted in 1944 for his contributions to the medical field • Won the Nobel Prize for physiology and medicine in 1945 Motive: Hachtman discovered that Penicillin is not a super drug anymore because many strains of bacteria are resistant to it Alibi: At the university attempting to genetically enhance penicillin to make it better capable to fight resistant drugs

Dian Fossey1932-2985 • She’s a Primatologist • She studies mountain gorillas • September 1963- went to Africa to tour wildlife and ever since then she fought to protect gorillas • She wrote the book Gorillas in the Mist which on account of her years in the rainforest with the gorillas. It was published in 1983 and later became a movie.
