QUESTION • WHICH LIQUID WILL RUST STEEL COTTON THE FASTEST?
HYPOTHESIS • My hypothesis is that steel would rust faster than other because only steel and metal can rust and steel has a better rust rate. The copper, and bronze doesn’t have iron in it.
MATERIALs • STEEL COTTON • COKE • SALTWATER • VINIGER • CUPS • Timer • Paper • Pencil
PROCEDURES • Set out cups in a dry area. • Pour the same amount of water in each cup being used. • Place the steel, metal, copper, and metal in each cup. • Check on the materials every 2 hours • Record data and how much time it takes each rock to rust. • Every time a material rust take it out and put it on a dry surface • Record rust rate.
