They can carry up to three bikes and come with padded or plastic-coated frame supports to protect the bicycles from any other damage. These racks are cheaper to install and store whenever not in use. They offer great versatility and can be used virtually on any model. It, therefore, makes them suitable for leased vehicles.  Roof-mounted tracks:These are attached to the vehicle’s upper door frames or the rain gutters or wherever available. They are also cheap and depending upon the size of the vehicle, up to seven bicycles can be carried easily. Moreover, a special case can be added if extra storage space for the tools and other types of equipment is required. When the rack is not being used for holding the bikes, it can also be used for carrying the canoes and skis. Each of the racks has its advantages and disadvantages.
