The Student Satisfaction and Outcomes Assessment Survey • Phone surveys were given to students days after they used E-Advising over a five month period from October 31st through March 31st. • 300 students used E-Advising in that time period • 68 students (23%) were reached and completed the survey • 150 of those students (50%) had unreachable numbers • A 5-point Likert scale was used to assess their level of satisfaction in using E-Advising as tool for academic guidance.

  3. Category 1: Ease of Use Question 1: It was easy to use the E-Advising system. Question 2: The Advising staff was helpful in showing me how to use the system.

  4. Category 2: Accessibility Question 1: The E-Advisor was accessible and available at a time that was convenient for me. Question 2: I liked that I could use the system at a location that was convenient for me.

  5. Category 3: Advisor Knowledge and Rapport Question 1: The E-Advisor was knowledgeable about my program requirements. Question 2: The E-Advisor showed concern about my success as an individual.

  6. Category 4: Learning Outcomes Question 1: The E-advisor helped me set academic goals. Question 2: I understand my degree requirements after participating in E-Advising.

  7. Category 5: Student Satisfaction Question 1: The E-Advisor was able to meet my advising needs to my satisfaction. Question 2: I would recommend E-Advising to others. Question 3: Overall, I had a good experience using E-Advising.

  8. Overall Consensus • The majority of students were satisfied: • Using the system for academic planning and understanding degree requirements. • With its ease of use. • With advisor knowledge. • Aggregate Rating of All Areas: Agree (positive).

  9. Recommendations • Apply Jabber and assess learning outcomes through the application of Jabber. • Compare rating of LO with and w/out Jabber. • Train more staff to use E-Advising equipment. • Explore the utilization of equipment by other student service areas.
