  3. WORK THROUGH THE FOLLOWING EXERCISES… LISTENING EXERCISE 1. WRITE THE CORRECT LOCATION AND DIRECTION. CLICK THE VIDEO ICON SHOWN IN THE PREVIOUS SLIDE. ANSWER THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS… 2 Listen and watch up to the end of where Marielle asks the woman for directions (2m04). A What do you think Samira’s opinion of Marielle is? Give at least three reasons for her to think this. What conclusion did you reach? What did you see that made you reach the conclusion? Did you all agree? B What is the abbreviation for “jardin public”? Who uses it? C Note down any expressions you hear for giving directions. D What do you think the following expressions mean? – Je ne sais pas – Oùes-tu? – Restelà 3 Listen and watch the rest of the clip (2m03 – end). Work in pairs or small groups to work out the answers to these questions. A Why don’t Alex and Marielle meet up as intended? B How does Samira say “They are hopeless!”?
