  12. Why biogas for district heating? • biogas can easily be transported to residential areas • heat of biogas engine fulfills demand for legionella safe heat supply to houses (temperate 70 degrees for domestic hot-water) • green heat is effective tool in development of climate neutral cities

Essent: more biogas in the city • Essent Warmte is offering district heating based on biogas for several new residential areas to communities in The Netherlands • Essent Warmte is investigating supply of biogas to CHP in existing district heating projects • Essent Warmte actively promotes maximal utilisation of biofuels and is member of Dutch association for biochp www.biowkk.nl
