  2. Swbat analyze news placement choices within a newspaper • DO NOW: GRAB YOUR SECOND NEWSPAPER. • FINISH UP 1-5 PAGES FOR YOUR SECOND NEWSPAPER

  3. Chart It • With your second newspaper, use the chart paper (hold it landscape), create 5 columns and write out part of the headline for each of the stories that are on that particular page. • When everyone is done, we are going to do a gallery walk. I want you to write me a one page response.

  4. RESPONSE Possible Responses Should Include • What did you notice when you walked from paper to paper? • What value was placed on international news from paper to paper? Entertainment? Local news? National News? Sports? Business? • Did any of the papers equally place a story? Ex. A story was on page ___ for multiple publications. • Did you detect bias? Liberal, conservative, or any other slant from paper to paper? • Which news publication seems to be the most reliable?
