  3. 1. I heard a woman scream and then a large thwunk. 2. I remember it like it was yesterday. 3. When I was seven 4. I knew by the way my mom looked at me today was not going to be good. 5. The door squeaked loudly as I pushed it slowly open. 6. This would prove to be a bad sign. 7. I close my eyes and remember that day. 8. Only later would I realize how traumatic this would be on our family.
