  1. Directions for Gas Drops& File Name Listing

Moab • Friday: • Gas Stop 1.gdb covers White Rim trail on Saturday. • The drop is early in the ride so 2, 1-gallon containers. • Gas Stop 2&3.gdb covers Moab Big Loop, Monticello Day 1, and east of 191; there are two different stops to cover the three days. • Three five gallon containers are required. • Saturday: • white rim_v3.gdb. Only one file is required now. We will now go up long canyon up to Shaffer Trail. • Sunday: • Moab-big loop 1.gdb. This route is 27 miles, but we’ll also do Chicken Corners which is not in a gdb (Moab Chicken Corner.pptx). Estimated round trip is 10 miles. So, at the end of moab-big loop 1.gdb there is ~4 mile gap before moab-big loop 2.gdb begins. Based on mileage at the end of moab-big loop 1.gdb we can either go back the way we came or continue to the gas stop and then go back. Either way this is an edit due to the lack of need to travel anymore on UT211. Therefore moab-big loop 1_back.gdb is a retune trip. • Monday: • east of 191_combined.gdb. This file incorporates a number of other files that were previously separate. • Tuesday: • This will require two gdb files but is less than 100 miles total, so no need for extra gas. This is Kane Creek Canyon in the book. Moab-tighter loop 1a.gdb and moab-tighter loop 1b.gdb are required.

  3. Monticello • Wednesday: • Monticello combined rev2.gdb. This will utilize gas stop 2 during the ride. • Later on Wednesday night we will drop another gas container of the 5 gallon variety. We will need gas stop4.gdb for this. • Thursday: • Monticello 2-2a.gdb. We will gas from gas stop4 for this.
