Vision Statement A holistic approach to the rights and health of sexual minorities and promoting rational attitudes to sexuality
Mission Statement We strive for the human rights of sexual minorities and for the provision of quality health services to MSM and tritiya panthi (TG)
Theory of Change If we work towards the human rights of sexual minorities and the health of MSM and tritiya panthi (TG), then this work will lead to acceptance and equality of sexual minorities and a healthier community
December 1994 The Humsafar Trust organized India’s first conference of the gay community
1995 Drop-in center was acquired and Friday meetings started 1998 The Directorate of Health Services grant of Rs. 58,000 for site mapping of MSM sites in Mumbai 77 active sites identified in 3 months
Health : Beginning of HIV Interventions- 1999 • Mumbai District AIDS Control Society sanctioned NACO’s first pilot project in the MSM sector in Mumbai for 1000 populations - 1999 • The HST sets up a VCCTC within its premises on 26th June 1999 • The USAID FHI IMPACT Project up scales in 2001 • 6 TIs reaching out to 9000 MSM and TG in 2013 – NACO - MDACS • Clinic and counseling unit • Support group ‘Sanjeevani’ for MSM and TG living with HIV

Street Outreach Outreach education on safer sex practices and increasing awareness on STIs / HIV and AIDS among MSM and Tg. Peer led Intervention
STI and HIV Services HST offers increased accessibility to high quality STI examination / treatment, HIV testing facilities HST also provides general examination of routine illnesses to the MSM / TG Community at the HST Clinics HST counselors provide pretest and post test counselling to MSM and TG clients at HST clinics and its other referral linkages
Partner Notification HST encourages partner notification to MSM-PLHA under its female partner notification program
Referral Linkages 1 In house ICTC and 6 STI clinics and strategic linkages with public Health care providers for care, support and treatment ~ Lokmanya Tilak Medical General Hospital ~ JJ Hospital ~ Thane Civil Hospital ~ MSF Treatment Center
Care Support and Treatment To meet the specific requirements of the MSM-PLWHA, HST initiated “Sanjeevani” a group formed by and for MSM-PLHA Safe space for positive men to meet and discuss their issues Professional mental health support Treatment of Opportunistic Infections (OIs) and enrollment in accessing ART Nutrition counseling
