Contract Status • Ohio School Consortium Program • Current Contract - $.055 kWh for generation • Contract expires December 2013 billing cycle • Monthly roll over with price adjustment on 30 day notice • Strategic \ Direct Energy Program • Rates differ by Ohio Power class – target set method • Current Contract expires May 2014 billing cycle • Standard Service Offer – ranges by class $.07 to $.10

  3. Expected Future Electric Prices • Distribution – Increase in the Distribution Riders • Significant Increase in the PJM capacity cost for PJM year 2014, 2015 and a decrease 2016 • Energy cost stable – unless there is a run up in natural gas prices

  4. Joint MEC Public Bid • September RFP • Uniform Contract based on the current agreement • Requested quotes for PJM year 2014, 2015 and 2016Bids due in Nov 1st • Award Bids on Nov. 4th • Sign Up between Nov. 4th and Nov. 6th

  5. Second Start Date • First Start Date for the RFP is January billing cycle 2014 • Covers Schools now in the MEC program • Covers Schools now on Ohio Power Standard Service • Second Start Date May billing cycle 2014 • Covers those in the Strategic \ Direct Program

  6. Check List to Participate in RFP • Review the Proposed Contract • Secure Board or Management Approval to accept the bid offer- If attractive • Review the final bid offer • Execute the uniform contract between Nov 4th and Nov. 6th -- If attractive
