3MinuteActivity STEP 1: CHECK FOR NEW IDEAS Activity Instructions: Idea Prioritizer • Our goal is to capture any new ideasfor achieving our mission. • Capture new ideas on Blue Slips. REMEMBER: ALL IDEAS ARE WORTH LISTENING TO. • Quickly agree on where the idea should be posted on the Idea Sorter Poster. • Use the Idea Prioritizer to Prioritize the idea if you have already processed ideas from that action area (i.e. prioritize a new Pull-In idea if all the Pull-Ins have already been transferred from the Idea Sorter Poster). Up to 20MinuteActivity STEP 2: REVIEW PRIOR MEETING ACTIONASSIGNMENTS AND PLAN NEXT STEPS Activity Instructions: 3Ws ActionAssignments • Our goal is to review progress andbrainstorm next steps for each actionplan in process. • Complete the following tasks for each action plan: • Review the action assignments due for completion by this meeting. (Refer to the 3Ws Action Assignments Poster). • Check-off completed assignments. • Discuss and brainstorm how to complete implementation. (Refer to the Action Accelerator for ideas). • Repeat the process for each action plan in process. ActionAccelerator REMEMBER: THE GOAL IS TO GET COMPLETIONS.WORK TOGETHER TO MAKE IT HAPPEN!
15MinuteActivity STEP 3: PRIORITIZE AND SELECTNEW FOOTHILLS FOR ACTION* Activity Instructions: “Top 10”ActionIdeas • Our goal is select the next Foothill ideafor action plan development. • Retest the priority Foothill ideas remaining on the Idea Prioritizer Poster and select the top Foothill for action. • If all Foothills have been processed (or the team decides they are not high priority), return to the Idea Sorter Poster and prioritize the next action area of ideas. • Maintain the discipline of testing each idea for POTENTIAL GAIN AND SIGNIFICANT ACTION. • Agree on the TOP FOOTHILL IDEA for action and post-it into the “Top 10” Poster. STEP 4: ASSIGN CHAMPIONS AND DEVELOPACTION PLANS* Activity Instructions: ActionAccelerators Up to 20Minutesper Idea • Our goal is to develop an action plan forour next top Foothill idea. • Ask for a volunteer to “Champion” the idea.Look to: • Any Team Member not assigned as a Champion. • Any Team Member close to completing their action plan. • The Champion will lead the team in a review of the DMAI questions to develop the action plan. • The Team Leader will complete the activity by capturing action assignments on a 3Ws Poster for the idea. • Repeat the activity for additional Foothill ideas as time and capacity to take action permits. “Top 10”ActionIdeas NOTE: *This is an optional activity based on the team’s readiness to put more ideas into action.
STEP 5: REVIEW JUST-DO-IT ASSIGNMENTSAND “BANK” IDEAS 10 Minute Activity Activity Instructions: IdeaBank • Our goal is to review prior meeting Just-Do-It Assignments; capture any new Just-Do-Its; and, bank any ideas for future consideration. • Refer to the Just-Do-It Action Assignments Poster. • Check-off completed assignments. • Brainstorm actions to complete unfinished assignments. • Capture any new Just-Do-It assignments. • Review the Idea Prioritizer for any ideas worth “banking for the future” and deposit them into the Idea Bank Poster. • Clear the Idea Sorter Poster of any ideas that are no longer needed.
