  5. How it’s babies are born • They usually only have one baby • It remains in it’s mother’s pouch for about 5 months before emerging

  6. Interesting Facts about the Wombat • Most Australians have never seen a Wombat • They are nocturnal • There are three kinds of species: Northern Hairy-Nosed Wombat, Southern Hairy-Nosed Wombat, Common Wombat. • A Hairy-Nosed Wombat is not rare, but is an endangered species.
