  1. Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth,

  2. For the first heaven and the first earth had past away,

  3. And there was no longer and sea.

  4. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem,

  5. coming down out of heaven from God,

  6. prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.

  7. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying,

  8. “Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them.

  9. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God.

  10. He will wipe every tear from their eyes.

  11. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain,

  12. For the old order of things has passed away.

  13. He who was seated on the throne said,

  14. “I am making everything new!”

  15. Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”

  16. “He said to me:” “It is done.

  17. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End.

  18. To him who is thirsty I will give to drink without cost from the spring of the water of life.

  19. He who overcomes with inherit all this, and I will be his God and he will be my son.

  20. “But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars--

  21. Their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulphur.

  22. This is the second death.

  23. One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues

  24. come and said to me,”Come, I will show you the bride

  25. the wife of the Lamb.”

  26. And he carried me away in the Spirit to a mountain great and high

  27. And showed me the Holy City, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God,

  28. It shone with the Glory of God,

  29. And its brilliance was like that of a very previous jewel, like a jasper, as clear as crystal.

  30. It had a great high wall with twelve gates and with twelve angels at the gates.

  31. One the gates were written the names of the twelve tribes of Israel.
