Famous Dave’s history • 1994:Dave Anderson opens first Famous Dave's restaurant. • 1996:New blues-theme restaurant opens; Famous Dave's is listed on the NASDAQ. • 1997:New management is selected; lodge theme restaurant opens. • 1998:Martin O'Dowd is named CEO. • 2000:Famous Dave's posts first profits since going public.

Rise to Fame • Began with a strong hankerin’ for fine barbeque • Dave visited rib shacks, and roadside joints, all in search of the most BBQ succulent meats, savory seasonings and lipsmacking sauces around. • After 25 years of tasting and cooking, Dave’s barbeque just plain knocked the socks off his family and friends.
