Christmas developmentof the BME event generator F. Cerutti in collaboration with A. Mairani (INFN-HIT), A. Ferrari, F. Sommerer FLUKA user meeting CERN January 31st 2007
“Closed” issue on the peripheral collision side ! quite significant underestimation of production cross section for isotopes close to projectile or target 12C+12C @ 86 MeV/n s(11C) ~ 1 mb
Implemented developments • relaxation of the geometrical radius • qPL, qTL chosen according to [ds/dW]cm ~ exp(-kqcm) • pPL, pTL chosen according to a uniform energy loss distribution over a given interval
12C+12C @ 86 MeV/n BME s(11C) = 81 mb RQMD s(11C) = 215 mb Results [I]
Benchmarking [I] 12C+12C @ 86 MeV/n exp data from H. Ryde, Physica Scripta Vol. T5, 114-117, 19832o < qLAB < 22o TLAB > 10 MeV/n exp data from H. Ryde, Physica Scripta Vol. T5, 114-117, 19832o < qLAB < 22o TLAB > 10 MeV/n
Benchmarking [II] 12C+9Be @ 86 MeV/n exp data from H. Ryde, Physica Scripta Vol. T5, 114-117, 19832o < qLAB < 22o TLAB > 10 MeV/n
BME – The database for the pre-equilibrium emissions 16O + 6Li, 8Li, 8B, 10B, 12C, 14N, 16O, 19F, 20Ne, 24Mg, 27Al 12C + 8Li, 8B, 12C, 27Al @ 12, 30, 50, 70, 100 MeV/n
Undertaken issues on the CF side • (extension of the database) • evidence of too hard (pre-equilibrium) neutron spectra at high incident energies • extrapolation of parameters for systems not included in the database
Treatment of transfer reactions deep overlap and full inclusion cases addressed This way events of COMPLETE FUSION because of an impact parameter too low have been avoided for 16O+197Au @ 94 MeV/n sCF was pushed from 4%sR (estimated) to 45%sR excitation energy sharing
Complete fusion for wild systems total multiplicity @ 12, 30, 50, 70, 100 MeV/n angular distributions
