The “Word of God”. It is the only book that promises hope for humanity. Yet no book in the world:. Has been so loved (Luther), so hated (Voltaire), so revered, so damned as the Bible. Misquoted too. People have.

Yet no book in the world: Has been so loved (Luther), so hated (Voltaire), so revered, so damned as the Bible. Misquoted too....
People have.. ..... died for it(Huss, Jerome) while others have killed for it(the inquisition). It has inspired man’s greatest and noblest acts (Mother Theressa, MKJ, EGW), and yet it has been blamed for his (man’s) most damnable and degenerate acts (Apartheid, Nazism, Nationalism).
GIVE ME THE BIBLE • Wars have raged over the Bible, revolutions have been natured in its pages, kingdoms have crumbled through its ideas and civilisations have perished though its influence.
GIVE ME THE BIBLE • People of all viewpoints – from liberation theologians to capitalists, from fascists to Marxists, from dictators to liberators, from pacifists to militarists – all search its glorious pages to justify their sometimes dastardly deeds.
The Bible is the word of God, the Bread of life and the compass of our lives. In its pages you will find the joy and happiness of believers and the doom of sinners. We must read it to be wise, believe it to be safe, practice it to be holy and share it to bring salvation to others.
I have read... William Wordsworth and the Bible, the Bible is better James Hadley Chase and the Bible, the Bible is better E.G. White and the Bible, the Bible is better Itumeleng Mosala and the Bible, the bible is better Sun Tzu and the Bible, the bible is better Cleveland and the Bible, the Bible is better Setiloane and the Bible, the Bible is better Covey and the Bible, the Bible is better Carl Marx and the Bible, the Bible is better
Its pages are full of drama and poetry the most sublime (Gen., Job, Proverbs), philosophy (Ecclesiastes) and history (ancient and modern). Mathematics, Statistics, Psychology and Prophecy. The Word of God has everything for everyone.
But the Greatest and the most sublime theme of the Bible Is Christ and “Him Crucified”...
It is given to us for salvation and exhortation. 2 Peter 2:21; 2 Timothy 3:16; Psalm 119:105. It is powerful and life changing. Romans 1:16; Hebrews 4:12. It can straighten our lives. Psalm 119:9-11.
1 Peter 1:2 “For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake [as they were] moved by the Holy Ghost.” 2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 2 Timothy 3:17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. Psalm 119:105 “Thy word [is] a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path”.
It is all powerful: Romans 1:16 “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek”.
Hebrews 4:12 “For the word of God [is] quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and [is] a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart”.
It can purify our lives: Psalms 119:9 Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed [thereto] according to thy word”. Psalms 119:11 “Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee”.
Conclusion: “ None but those who have fortified their minds with the truth of the scriptures will be able to stand during the last great conflict” so... Give me the Bible...because.. The art of war: Sun Tzu “If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the results of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.” P51
