FIT “O” RAMA By: Mehak, Harshil, Nick & Wayne Lo-Fi Prototype: Introduction: Anyone who uses a gym has one main common goal in mind, and that is to better themselves by staying healthy. There are several ways to do this, whether it is by lifting weights and gaining muscle or doing cardio and losing weight. The want to get better is what motivates people to head to the gym each day and workout. One of the problems, however, is there are so many different workouts to do at a gym it is impossible to know them all. Any gym-goer looks at their workout as an opportunity to extend themselves and become better than they were before entering the gym that day. No matter what the age group or demographic, students, faculty, and residents alike all take part in exercising and working towards their goals. The goal always remains the same despite the road to getting there. The Fit “O” Rama app will only help and enhance the workout of anyone who chooses to take advantage of it. Please Enter, Your E-mail Users and Task Matrix: User 1: Rutgers Student This user is a Rutgers student who goes to the gym regularly with a smart device for listening to music, keeping exercise data as well as for guidance with certain exercise equipment. This user really thinks that a more structured workout would be of benefit. User 2: Faculty and Staff One the more frequent users that utilizes the gym is the faculty and staff of Rutgers University. They are always on campus and spend a decent amount of time at the gym. User 3: Resident of New Brunswick There are other people other than students who do their workout in the Rutgers gyms. Rutgers University is right in the middle of New Brunswick and there is a lot of residential area surrounding the school buildings. Done Hi-Fi Prototype: Conclusion & Limitations: The Hi-Fi prototype of the FIT“O”RAMA app gives the individual an idea of where to start with their workout based on which part of the body the individual wants to workout. The application begins with a welcome screen and then leads into a selection of different things that the user can workout. This helps the individual get a good workout while helping him or her learn about the different parts of their body. In the Fit “O” Rama application, there was one limitation that recurred and that was the ability for the user to see the actual data in the workout. Although the email function was incorporated into the application, the actual sending of the data is not a function that was incorporated. Other than that, the application shows the different workout for each body part and keeps the user on track.
