VARY FONT SIZE AND COLOUR • vary justification- left, right, centre • insert black slides between parts of the service, to allow for a rest for the eyes • use images to illustrate- a picture is worth a thousand words! You may have to make images more intensely coloured- the projector’s colours are not as rich as your computer screen • use slides that prompt the song for the children’s time, the offering, and/or the Lord’s prayer vary slide layouts for interest

Additional thoughts… • Be creative with background graphics that enhance the message of the scripture, or the hymn, or your opening. • Use powerpoint to show the whole congregation images from the story you are reading to the kids. It doesn’t need to be every page. You can often find images online of common stories, or take your own hi res photos of the book, or download an iBook… • You can use powerpoint to insert video links, downloaded music, websites.
