This is what everyone who is numbered shall give: half a shekel according to the shekel of the sanctuary (the shekel is twenty gerahs), half a shekel as a contribution to the LORD."

Coronation of the King King David himself explained how to coronate a king: "Let Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet anoint him there as king over Israel, and blow the trumpet and say, 'Long live King Solomon!'" (1 Kings 1:34).
Coronation of the King The story of King Solomon's anointing illustrates that a king's coronation consists of three important components: 1. The anointing with oil 2. The blast of the shofar 3. The acclamation
Anointing with Oil The king of Israel takes the title of the LORD's Anointed One (mashiach) because of the anointing ritual.
The Blast of the Shofar The coronation of a king over Israel is heralded by a fanfare of shofar blasts. For this reason, Jewish tradition associates Rosh HaShanah (the Feast of Trumpets) with the kingship of God.
The Acclamation of the King Those present at a coronation express their loyalty to the newly crowned king with a shout of acclamation. Adonijah's supporters shouted, "Long live King Adonijah!" (1 Kings 1:25).

The Signature We see the glory of the LORD reflected in the Messiah: ''And we, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit“ (2 Corinthians 3: 18).
