  5. Standard ? • There is a Standard EN12050 for small • pumping stations • But there is no Standardfor larger • pumping stations • It was and still is the problem for water works – • what are the requirements for pumping stations?

  6. Requirements for pumping stations ? • About 10 years ago we made the • decision to find an answer for this • problem • We visited about 10 of Estonian biggest • water works and mapped their needs

  7. The results of mapping • The main problems: • 1. Deformed pumping station cylinders (body) • 2. Deformed pumping stations bottoms • Problems with water tightness • Bad thermal isolation of covers and service openings • Size of service opening too small • Service of pumping station uncomfortable and dangerous: • - the risk of falling • - the risk of slipping • 7. Non-vertical control cabinet bases

  11. Material of the pumping station? • The criterias no.1: • The pipes and manholes which are used nowadays, • mainly made of PLASTIC • As we decided to produce pumping station cylinders • (body) by ourself, then we studied a little more closely • different manufacturing technologies
