  3. ILO: TripartiteStructure Three groups form the Executive of the ILO • governments • employers’ representatives • workers’ representatives

  4. MissionILO • Promotion of social justice • internationally recognized human and labour rights • Minimum standards of basic labour rights: • freedom of association • the right to organize • collective bargaining • abolition of forced labour • equality of opportunity and treatment

  5. Core ILO Conventions • The principles concerning the fundamental • rights of the core Conventions are: • freedom of association and the effective • recognition of the right to collective bargaining; • the elimination of all forms of forced or • compulsory labour; • the effective abolition of child labour; • the elimination of discrimination in respect of • employment and occupation.

  6. Strengtheningsocialpartners • Promote development of independent • employers' and • workers' organizations and • Provide training and advisory services to those organizations

  7. Workers’ Activities • Enhance trade unions’ capacity to promote and defend interests of workers and their families • Social dialogue • Collective bargaining • Organising
