  2. Why go to Iceland for vacation? Cold, icy, barren? HARDLEY! The nature of Iceland, the beautiful scenery, the awe of active volcanoes, and natural phenomenon, such as northern lights, endless summer days, the midnight sun are also big attractions to tourists.

  3. Another attraction in Iceland is the saving of the pufflings. What is a puffin? Click on the site to see some fascinating pictures. http://kids.nationalgeographic.com/kids/animals/creaturefeature/atlanticpuffin/ Iceland is home to over half of the world’s Puffin population. Approximately 8 to 10 million birds live here.

  4. Where we are going to travel today is the Westman Islands, specifically the main island, Heimaey. Video On the island of Heimaey, a local tradition is the catching of the pufflings - (baby puffins) and the releasing of the birds by local children. Rescue puffins
