  2. INTRO • The first broadcast of hollyoaks on channel 4 was on the 23rd of October in 1995. • The viewing figures of the show in December 31 till 6 January are: (wed 1859) 849000 viewers (thu 1900) 715000 viewers (fri 1859) 608000 viewers (thu 1901) 901000 viewers

  3. INTRO • Hollyoaks was originally devised by Phil Redmond and the program is set in Chester. • The show is directed Eddy Marshall, Adrian Bean and Ian White. • The editors are Alistair McMath and David Mercer.

  4. PRIMARY RESEARCH • We have carried out some research on who likes and doesn’t like Hollyoaks. Here are the results. • We have asked 64% Males and 36% Females. • 41% of the people we asked are 16 years old. • 42% said they like the show.

  5. PRIMARY RESEARCH • 50% said that they would rate the show on scale of 1-10 at 1. • 35% said that their favourite character is Mercedes.

  6. SECONDARY RESEARCH • We used www.epguides.com to find out the air dates of the show. • We also used Wikipedia to find out when the show was first started airing in the UK. The show was first aired on Channel 4 on 23rd October 1995.

  7. TYPICAL AUDIENCE MEMBER • This is a typical audience member. • It is anyone for the age of 15-45. • Any sexuality. • Male and Female. • And also any Ethnicity. • Anyone could watch the soap, no matter if poor or rich.
