Gliders have a trajectory- or a path through the air. Bernoulli’s Principle: The pressure exerted by a fluid decreases as velocity increases. Pressure: Applying force to a surface. Pressure is measured in Pascals. The fluid mentioned is air!! Pressure: P= F/A Like airplanes, gliders have 4 forces that act on them during flight. The center of pressure affects the lift of an airplane. The center of pressure is similar to the center of gravity, yet uses the pressure distribution around the glider, instead of weight. Your glider has linear momentum because it has a mass and a velocity. Linear Momentum: The product of mass and velocity of an object. Linear Momentum is a vector quantity. Linear Momentum: p=mv
